Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is a hidden gem on a remote and preserved island, the only resort offering a unique experience nestled between the inner and outer reefs of the Great Barrier Reef. The location is spectacular, with WiFi only available in the main area but with breathtaking views and access to stunning marine life like giant clam gardens. The staff not only met but exceeded all our expectations with their incredible attention to detail and friendly service. Dining was extraordinary with personalized experiences like having turtles delivered to our room after snorkeling. While the facilities are top-notch, the price may be a bit high for some and the WiFi limitations could be a drawback.
The resort offers modern, minimal but very comfortable rooms with a wonderful porch/deck right on the beach. The sparkling wine served warm was a bit disappointing, but overall, a great stay to start our holiday!
The resort offers well-fitted rooms in a simple and understated style, with huge rooms boasting views of paradise and complimentary Toblerone bars, drinks, snacks, wine, and beer. The location is stunning, overlooking a private beach that we couldn't wait to explore upon our arrival.
Wow, what an incredible experience! The hotel is just stunning, overlooking a private beach that we couldn't wait to visit as soon as we arrived at the resort. The rooms, part of the main building along the beach, are absolutely beautiful, spacious, and luxurious. The service was beyond friendly and helpful, seamlessly navigating us through the resort and taking care of all our needs. The location is old-fashioned in a good way and very special, being the only resort on the island, combined with impeccable service, making it extraordinary for exploring the Great Barrier Reef. The dining experience was delightful, from having a wine with a cork to crisp salads, delivered in a private and relaxed manner. The facilities were top-notch, offering everything we needed for a perfect stay.
I was delighted to stay at this resort overlooking a private beach, with beautiful, clean rooms elegantly decorated; though it was disappointing that the sparkling wine was served warm. The location is truly remote and preserved on Lizard Island, offering everything I could hope for.
The hotel is a gem nestled between the inner and outer reef, offering everything one could hope for. The rooms are spacious and modern, and the staff go above and beyond to ensure a warm and welcoming atmosphere. However, the dining experience, while organic, may leave some craving more variety. The location receives top marks for being the only resort on the special Lizard Island but suffers a bit for not being immediately adjacent to facilities.
Staying at this hotel was an amazing experience. The rooms were beautifully designed and well-stocked with a lovely selection of drinks and snacks, plus quality bathroom necessities. The views were absolutely gorgeous, perfect for unwinding after an exhilarating snorkeling adventure. However, it was disappointing that the sparkling wine was served warm on more than one occasion.
My stay at the hotel was simply amazing. The rooms were part of the main building, spacious, and the food was from very good to delicious. The seafood entrees were fantastic too. The location was idyllic high above SunSet Beach, and the beach right in front of the resort allowed for snorkeling among different fish and coral varieties. However, the WiFi only worked in the main area.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were beautifully fitted out in a simple and understated style, just enough room for a couple of bags on the floor, and being along the beach was so relaxing. The service was exceptional, with staff always attentive, going above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The location on a remote and preserved island felt truly special, and the dining experience, especially after a morning reef snorkeling boat trip, was top-notch. The facilities added to the overall enjoyment of my stay.
I had a wonderful stay at the hotel with modern, comfortable rooms right on the beach, offering a great view of Sunset Beach and a secluded feel. The service was top-notch with friendly and attentive staff. The location was extraordinary, especially for exploring the Great Barrier Reef, and the dining experience was delightful.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel on Lizard Island, a national park, with extraordinary views and easy access to private settings for snorkeling and picnicking. The dining options were delicious, although the breakfast menu remained the same throughout my stay. The facilities were top-notch, making it a great value for the experience.
Staying at the hotel was a dream come true with its stunning sunset beach-facing rooms that had their own pool, offering a clean, modern, and elegant ambiance. The view of the sunset was truly spectacular, making it a perfect retreat after a day of adventure. The main resort was just a short walk away, adding to the convenience. However, the price may lean towards the higher end.
I felt like I was staying in a budget motel room, but with great views and decent food. The disappointment came when the sparkling wine was served warm on multiple occasions. The main building's rooms were spacious, and the food ranged from very good to delicious, especially the seafood entrees. The bathroom was refreshingly crisp and modern, with a chic vibe.
I had an amazing stay at the hotel, which offered breathtaking views of Sunset Beach right from our verandah. The rooms were beautifully modern, elegant, and clean, providing us with a spectacular sunset experience every evening. However, the dining options were somewhat limited. The service was top-notch, especially for activities like snorkeling, with excellent training and customer care. The location on Lizard Island was simply perfect, nestled between the inner and outer reef, and the historical feel added to its charm. Overall, a wonderful experience with a few dining limitations.
Staying at this hotel was an absolute delight. The rooms provided private and mesmerizing views of the beach and coral sea, even better than the website pictures. After an exhilarating snorkeling experience, it felt more like a budget motel room.
